The attacker exploited the ADMIN privileges of the add_integrator_config function and took advantage of a symbol mismatch vulnerability in the calculate_taker_fees function to repeatedly withdraw tokens for profit. Aftermath Finance confirmed a total loss of 1.14 million USD and is focused on recovering funds.

In addition, Aftermath Finance stated in its latest update that thanks to the support of Mysten Labs and the Sui Foundation, all users will receive full compensation, and emphasized that this is not a security issue with the Move contract language.
