Iranian official media reported a statement from the Revolutionary Guard, which stated that if the U.S. attacks civilian facilities, Iran will respond in kind without hesitation.

The U.S. president stated that if Iran does not agree to open the Strait of Hormuz, he will strike Iran's power plants and bridges within hours.

The statement said: "We will destroy the infrastructure of the U.S. and its partners, making it impossible for them and their allies to obtain oil and gas from the region for many years to come."

The statement also added: "U.S. leaders lack the ability to calculate which critical assets will be within the range of our warplanes if they attack our infrastructure. If U.S. forces cross our red line, our response will be beyond the region."
