In the past year, I plan to test some mainstream cryptocurrency payment channels (including U-card) in different countries every time I travel, to see if it is possible to travel without the need for fiat currency, using only U (including U-card) to complete all aspects of life, such as food, clothing, housing, and transportation, without directly exchanging fiat currency (ATM withdrawal does not count).

Many friends might think that current U-cards or payment channels are either VISA or MasterCard, and it is enough as long as they work normally. However, in reality, credit or debit cards cannot cover 100% of the application scenarios.

For example, in Southeast Asia, in Thailand and Vietnam, payment is more like China's QR code payment method, and if you do not have a local credit or debit card, especially the local payment app, it is very difficult to use. Therefore, the testing methods I plan are as follows:

1. Whether it can be linked to APPLE PAY or Google PAY.

2. Whether it can be linked to Grab.

3. Whether it can use local payment channels.

4. The wear relative to the local currency.

5. Whether it can withdraw from local mainstream ATMs and the wear of withdrawals.

6. Whether OTC is available locally, the rates for OTC, and whether KYC is required.

7. Is there anything else that needs to be added?

All tests are planned to be recorded in video format, and then a practical horizontal comparison will be made. If there are friends who want to test with me (cost-sharing), please contact me. If there are many people, we can test multiple different channels simultaneously, which is also quite good.

The departure time and destination are not yet determined; I plan to start from the peak tourist countries first.
