The latest GS Sentiment Indicator data shows that the current positions of U.S. stock investors have retreated from a previously overheated state (net long) to a slightly cautious state (slightly net short).

Although sentiment has cooled, it has not yet reached extremely pessimistic levels.

PS: The GS Sentiment Indicator values reflect the stock holdings of retail, institutional, and overseas investors over the past 12 months.

The higher the value, the heavier the overall positions and the more optimistic the sentiment. The lower the value, the lighter the positions and the more pessimistic the sentiment.

This also confirms that although institutional investors have some liquidity, they still find it difficult to drive the current risk market higher.
