In May 2024, pump.fun experienced a theft incident where attackers stole approximately 2 million dollars worth of SOL and a large number of meme coins. At that time, the attackers claimed they would randomly airdrop these funds to players on Solana, and were once referred to as the "Robin Hood of the cryptocurrency world."
Jarett Dunn (online name Stacc), the attacker, was a former employee of pump.fun. Last December, he was sentenced to 6 years in prison by a judge in London.

Two days ago, he exposed a large number of Telegram chat records from when he was still at pump.fun.
So, I spent a lot of time going through these chat records one by one. Actually, after reading them, I was puzzled because these records did not contain the deliberate malicious content I had imagined, such as the pump.fun team manipulating liquidity or secretly collecting user fees. There was also nothing concerning founder Alon or other team members having significant personal moral issues.
However, in Jarett Dunn's tweet, he referred to himself as a whistleblower, and he viewed his exposure of these records as a form of "justice blow-up." Someone in his comments section expressed similar doubts, and he replied:

"These records show that I told them twice that they must complete the KYC/AML process to livestream on the platform, (but they ignored it) and then we all know what the final situation was (referring to the early unlimited livestream chaos of pump.fun)."
If this accusation has some merit, the next accusation seems a bit of a leap:
"An employee said in the group: his friend is already looking for models, once pump.fun goes live, they will engage in adult content."
This accusation corresponds to the following chat record. First, pump.fun co-founder Sapijiju shared a Twitch streamer in the company group, saying another Twitch streamer had launched a token through pump.fun. An employee indicated that this streamer was a rug puller, having rug pulled 5 tokens the day before.

Then this employee mentioned that his friend was looking for "models" (to do the same thing). In context, this sounds more like a joke. However, it did intersperse Jarett Dunn's suggestion that he thought cooperating with livestream platforms was better, as it wouldn't require them to bear the responsibility of KYC and could significantly shorten the time needed to launch livestreaming features on pump.fun.

The crux of the accusation should be that the whole team was aware that this was a serial rug puller, yet still had a carefree attitude, joking about it. Alon, as co-founder, indicated in the records that he "felt he had seen her profile before," and then there was no further discussion.

Some records also showed the early "shoddy" aspect of pump.fun. For instance, to cope with investor pressure (needing to show how many employees the company had) while thinking the contract itself was "a pile of dog crap," they still had to get it done. But they were also looking for a lawyer to draft a new one; for the still "young" pump.fun, it's hard to say whether this is a scandal:

The most "explosive" revelation in Jarett Dunn's disclosed records was likely the exposure of the phone numbers corresponding to Alon and Sapijiju's Telegram accounts. Given it involves privacy, this part of the screenshots will not be included in this article.
So, how deep is the grudge? From the records, I cannot find the beginning of Jarett Dunn’s feud with pump.fun, but he is a talented programmer who was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia at the age of 20.
Two years ago, when he attacked pump.fun, his mother had just passed away a short time before. At that time, he had only been at pump.fun for 6 weeks.
Four days after the attack, he was arrested at a hotel just 90 meters away from pump.fun's office in London, where he was staying. After his arrest, he was deemed unfit by the police for questioning and sent to the hospital for two weeks of mental health treatment, having been off medication for several months.
Two months after pleading guilty, he attempted to withdraw his plea at the sentencing hearing, a sudden reversal that upset his legal team.
In September 2023, he tweeted, "I am homeless, prepared to sleep in a park, fighting with the bugs I created using 5G internet."

And in the records, pump.fun reimbursed him for his flight from Canada to the UK. At that time, was he happy and full?
Faced with such a complex and troubled programmer, I seem to have only a sigh before life.
