Crossmint announced it has received authorization from the Comisión Nacional del Mercado de Valores (CNMV) on 14 January, making it a regulated Crypto‑Asset Service Provider (CASP) authorized to passport services across the 27 EU member states; the authorization allows Crossmint to offer embedded wallets, exchanges and cross‑border transfers via a single integration for financial institutions. The approval follows extensive prudential, operational and anti‑money‑laundering/combating the financing of terrorism (AML/CFT) assessments and grants Crossmint EU passporting rights under the Markets in Crypto‑Assets Regulation (MiCAR).

Crossmint says the authorization streamlines deployment of stablecoin and digital‑asset infrastructure for remittance providers, payroll firms, neobanks and others, reducing time‑to‑market and vendor fragmentation as MiCAR’s grandfathering period ends in July 2026; Miguel Angel Zapatero, Crossmint’s General Counsel, states, “We’ve demonstrated enterprise‑grade infrastructure.” Adoption and availability depend on client integrations and applicable jurisdictional requirements.
