Gains Beyond the Awards——

1️⃣ BN DUBAI Award Ceremony

This award ceremony was somewhat different; what was truly special for me was not the award itself, but the "chemical reaction" that occurred after receiving it.

After I went on stage, many overseas friends whom I did not know on X, and some whom I had never even followed, were present. Many of them actively helped me take videos and photos, and sent them to me via private messages.

This gave me a clear signal:

Even though I have been creating content primarily in Chinese for a long time, my work is slowly being seen and reached globally.

Some overseas agencies, project parties, traders, and freelancers have already been quietly following me. Many people know of my existence and have, to some extent, engaged with my content.

This is somewhat encouraging for me, and it may lead me to consider occasionally posting some content in English or bravely stepping out a bit more.

2️⃣ The second profound feeling: English shortcomings.

The best way to speak at the award ceremony should definitely be in English, as the event was quite international and more formal, allowing for a better introduction of oneself.

I only learned about the 30-second sharing segment right before going on stage, which was a shortcoming on my part for not paying attention to this information, leading to a bit of a scramble.

However, I still insisted on expressing my gratitude in English.

Since the content was unfamiliar and it was my first time addressing a global audience in English, I was somewhat hesitant and nervous, struggling quite a bit.

But I see this as a new beginning. After returning, I will work on improving my English speaking skills, starting with practicing my self-introduction, and then striving to speak for one minute without obstacles in any situation.

Yesterday marked a new start for me. I may not have spoken well, but I dared to begin, which opens up more possibilities for improvement. Each time moving forward will be better than yesterday, and that’s pretty great.

I am thankful for myself for speaking poorly but still daring to express my gratitude in English.
