In the era of information explosion, scammers always keep up with the trends, exploiting people's trust in national policies and their desire for wealth to weave various seemingly "high-end" scams. Recently, several fraudulent apps have emerged online, claiming to be "national projects." They forge official documents and fabricate grand blueprints, specifically targeting middle-aged and elderly groups with relatively weak awareness of fraud, using "poverty alleviation payments" and "high dividends" as bait, while in reality, they are methodically deceiving people to steal their money. This article will expose five typical "Chinese concept" scams, reminding the public to stay vigilant and protect their hard-earned money.

  1. “China Poverty Alleviation Action” APP: Forged official documents, specifically targeting pensioners

This app, named “China Poverty Alleviation Action,” is packaged attractively, but its essence is a typical ethnic asset unfreezing scam.

False advertising: The app name “China Poverty Alleviation Action” is highly misleading, but it does not exist in app stores and has no website registration, making it illegal software. Scammers forge official documents, falsely claiming that the government is conducting a "poverty alleviation action" and distributing money to the public through the app.

Identity information theft: Scammers induce participants to fill in their identity information and address, mailing fake “China Snake Year Gold Cards” or “China Commemorative Coins,” falsely claiming they are worth hundreds of thousands. Once participants receive these props, their tragedy begins.

Layered fees: The scam involves various fees such as "activation fees," "management fees," and "withdrawal fees." Victims repeatedly pay money without being able to withdraw it, and eventually, the app becomes inaccessible, revealing the deception.

Warning: China has already won the battle against poverty, and there is no such poverty alleviation action through an app. According to relevant regulations, anyone receiving pensions, low-income support, or national salaries is not eligible for assistance. Such poverty alleviation actions in groups are fake and are scams to steal participants' identity information and money!

  1. Fake “China Resources Wallet” APP: High return bait, overseas website setup

This app impersonates the well-known state-owned enterprise China Resources Group, claiming to be a "national project," but its website is set up overseas, making it a typical ethnic asset unfreezing scam.

High temptation: They falsely claim to issue a poverty alleviation "check" of 9.8 million yuan to those who register with real-name authentication, throwing out a high-return "bait" to lure greedy individuals.

Low registration threshold: Scammers can even create phone numbers to register for the “China Resources Wallet” app, highlighting its fraudulent nature.

  1. Fabricated “China Chip” APP: Creating something from nothing, high “asset dividends”

The “China Chip” app also claims to be a "national project," but its promotional content and operational methods are filled with falsehoods and absurdities.

False dividends: They falsely claim to provide participants who register with real-name authentication with daily "asset dividends" of 1 million yuan, but the specific meaning of "asset dividends" is known only to the operators, making it a typical bizarre gimmick.

False information registration: Scammers even allow users to fabricate phone numbers and false information for "real-name authentication," granting fake "China Chip assets" and "China Chip equity," creating the illusion of overnight wealth.

False guarantees: The app features “Cloud Data Trade Zhang Jian” as a guarantor, but there is no such company as "China Chip Technology Co., Ltd." in China; it is entirely fictional. The editor reminds: The “China Chip” app is a “Cloud Data Trade” scam, posing as a national project and is a typical ethnic asset unfreezing scam that will later conduct precise fraud against participants, charging various fees, and ultimately absconding with the money.

  1. Renminbi Stablecoin APP: Virus software, overseas website setup

This app falsely claims to be a "national project," but it is actually a piece of virus software, with its website set up overseas, making it a typical ethnic asset unfreezing scam.

Fake wallet: Scammers can create phone numbers to register for the Renminbi Stablecoin app. Upon entering the app, users will see a fake Renminbi stablecoin wallet with 100,000 yuan and 10,000 stablecoins, each worth 10 yuan. These are just strings of false numbers.

Withdrawal trap: The system will claim that withdrawals will start on a certain date, and this withdrawal is the beginning of the scam. The more numbers participants see in the system, the more various fees they will pay, leading to greater losses.

  1. Made in China 2025 APP: Bait and switch, layered inducement for fees

This app also falsely claims to be a "national project," but its scam methods are more covert, using a bait-and-switch approach to induce layered fees.

Initial small return: First, participants activate their accounts by paying 368 yuan, which is then refunded, causing them to let their guard down.

Layered upgrade fees: Subsequently, they charge higher fees under the pretext of processing payment cards, diamond, gold, platinum, and supreme cards, and commemorative medals, charging amounts like 2,888 yuan.

Alipay connection trap: Recently, they introduced an Alipay connection, requiring another 2,188 yuan, claiming it will be refunded to personal accounts within 7 to 20 working days. This is actually a bait-and-switch scam; one day, they will stop refunding money, and participants will fall victim to the scam.

Conclusion:

Technology is always ahead, while scams remain retro. These scams posing as "national projects" exploit people's trust in national policies and their desire for wealth to weave various seemingly "high-end" scams. They precisely capture human weaknesses through false advertising, high temptations, and layered fees to defraud the public. We remind the public, especially middle-aged and elderly friends, to stay vigilant, not to trust unfamiliar information, not to click on unknown links, and not to transfer money to unfamiliar accounts. Remember: Any scheme that requires payment before receiving money is a scam! Protect your wallet and stay away from these scams disguised as "national projects."
