Token2049 is one of the best blockchain conferences in the blockchain space. Last year, there were over 800 side events and more than 20,000 attendees, with over 80% being international participants. This year, I will attend again and have compiled this guide to help everyone plan their itinerary and gain maximum value.

Traveling between side events can take a lot of time, especially since the Singapore F1 Grand Prix coincides with the conference, running from September 26 to October 5. Being in the city center will make it easier to find taxis, use the subway if needed, and change clothes during the day (the weather can be very humid and hot).

Advantages of the Main Venue: The exhibition hall spans two levels, showcasing many quality projects/teams, providing opportunities to meet sponsor representatives, listen to renowned speakers, and relax in the break areas between events.
Limitations of the Main Venue: The large number of attendees with diverse backgrounds makes precise networking difficult. Booths can be overcrowded, hindering in-depth communication. It is not the best place to build a personal network.

Side events are golden opportunities for networking and building connections because:

You can sign up for your favorite events with one click. However, the registration list for popular events may be very crowded. It’s best to get to know the organizers in advance, or even if you are not on the list, still attend. They may still let you in.
Best Advice Based on Experience.
Before the Event Starts
List the people you absolutely want to meet and arrange meetings in advance. Conferences are always chaotic, and otherwise, you won't be able to arrange to meet everyone.
Plan out-of-event activities in advance and register early. It’s easier to get through when the number of registrants is low compared to when it’s overcrowded.
Create a Telegram contact list to categorize the people you meet on-site. For example: "Cold Contacts": No clear collaboration needs yet. "Hot Contacts": Strong interest in solutions, prioritize follow-up. Categorize by type: project parties, VCs, agencies, incubators, etc. During the Event.
Take a screenshot of your personal Telegram QR code and set it as your phone wallpaper. This way, you can easily share your contact information with anyone you want to connect with.

The climate in Singapore from late September to early October is hot and humid.
Warm temperatures: around 30-31°C during the day and 24-26°C at night, with the sky usually cloudy and occasional rain. Dress recommendation: choose breathable, sweat-absorbing fabrics, prepare lightweight rain gear, and bring a light jacket as indoor air conditioning can be quite cold.

Hostels/Dormitories: $30-40 per night.
Mid-range hotel rooms: $200-300 per night.
Note that accommodation prices have started to rise as the conference approaches, keep an eye on hotel availability.
Here is a rough breakdown of typical daily expenses per person.
Food and Beverages
Quality street food prices range from 5-8 Singapore dollars;
If mainly dining at hawker stalls, the daily cost is usually around 15 Singapore dollars.
Dining at some cafes or small restaurants can cost up to 30 Singapore dollars.
If you want to go to a formal restaurant, expect to spend over 50 Singapore dollars per day.
Transportation Costs
Standard city transportation costs are expected to be 15–25 Singapore dollars.
Public transport: one-way fare is 1-2.5 Singapore dollars, all-day fare is 7-10 Singapore dollars. Tourist passes: 1-day pass is 10 Singapore dollars, 3-day pass is 22 Singapore dollars. Grab taxi: 15-25 Singapore dollars within the city. Note: Singapore does not currently support Uber! Be sure to download.
