Since Sept. 26, nearly 300 BTC that hadn’t twitched in years suddenly stirred. The oldest jolt came from a legacy address holding 31.85 BTC, first minted Aug. 12, 2014. Another ghost wallet from March 15, 2015, casually sent out 11 BTC like it was ten years ago all over again.

But btcparser.com figures show the real fireworks came from 2016 wallets. Eight of the 12 wake-ups trace back to that vintage, unloading a hefty 208.562 BTC. After years of radio silence, these old-school coins are stretching their legs—proof that even the deepest sleepers eventually join the party.

Several of the newly stirred coins didn’t go far—they hopped into shiny Bech32 addresses and are still lounging there as of this writing. The 2016 revival wasn’t the only throwback. According to btcparser.com, two bitcoin wallets from 2017 also shook off the cobwebs, unloading a combined 43.146 BTC.

One wallet shuffled 13.299 BTC, while the other casually relocated 29.846 BTC, adding even more vintage flavor to this week’s crypto wake-up call. By the time September closes the books, the month’s aggregate awakenings should tally up to a pretty penny’s worth of long-dormant bitcoin suddenly back in motion.

Basically, an old-coin encore that reminds everyone that even the deepest sleepers eventually stretch, yawn, and spend. Still, spending from a vintage wallet doesn’t always equal a sale—it could simply mean the coins were moved to a new address without hitting the open market.
