Crypto ETFs See Back-to-Back Withdrawals as Bitcoin and Ether Stay in the Red

The cautious mood in crypto markets persisted on Tuesday, Sept. 23, as both bitcoin and ether exchange-traded funds (ETFs) extended their losing streaks. Investors continued to pull capital, showing little appetite for inflows despite robust trading volumes across the board.

Bitcoin ETFs posted $103.61 million in outflows, the second straight day of withdrawals. Fidelity’s FBTC once again led the exodus with $75.56 million, while Ark 21Shares’ ARKB lost $27.85 million and Bitwise’s BITB shed $12.76 million. Small inflows trickled into Invesco’s BTCO ($10.02 million) and Blackrock’s IBIT ($2.54 million), but they barely dented the overall red. Total value traded stood at $3.16 billion, with net assets slipping further to $147.17 billion.

Ether ETFs fared no better, with a sharper collective outflow of $140.75 million spread across four funds. Fidelity’s FETH led the declines with a $63.40 million exit, while Grayscale’s Ether Mini Trust recorded $36.37 million in redemptions. Bitwise’s ETHW followed with $23.88 million, and Grayscale’s ETHE wrapped up the day with $17.10 million in losses. Total value traded reached $1.61 billion, leaving net assets at $27.48 billion.

After Monday’s broad selloff, Tuesday’s red numbers confirm a bearish tilt in ETF flows. With both bitcoin and ether ETFs posting back-to-back outflows, the coming days will be critical in determining whether this is a temporary pullback or the start of a deeper shift in sentiment.
