The Dublin- and Naples-based company announced the transformation Thursday, confirming that the oversubscribed deal was led by UAE-based Pulsar Group. Solmate aims to make solana ( SOL) the financial heartbeat of the Emirates, weaving Solana’s blockchain infrastructure into the region’s digital transformation agenda.

At the helm will be Marco Santori, former chief legal officer at Kraken, who is stepping in as chief executive. The board is shaping up as a who’s who of crypto and economics: legendary supply-side economist Arthur Laffer and RockawayX CEO Viktor Fischer are on deck, while the Solana Foundation will snag two additional seats.

Solmate’s strategy is straightforward but bold—accumulate and stake solana ( SOL) through both bull and bear cycles, while monetizing infrastructure with high-performance validators and staking operations in Abu Dhabi.

Early plans include deploying bare-metal servers to supercharge validator performance, giving Middle Eastern investors a new entry point to Solana’s yield-generating mechanics.

“Solmate is not just another treasury. It will execute on a durably differentiated strategy in a crowded field of look-alike DATs by building real crypto infrastructure in the UAE,” Santori stressed.

Backing from Ark Invest, RockawayX, and the Solana Foundation signals confidence that Solmate can deliver institutional-grade yield strategies, blending Solana’s technical firepower with old-school capital market savvy.

While the company pivots into blockchain, it isn’t abandoning its sports portfolio. Solmate will continue to operate Brera Holdings’ multi-club soccer ownership, which spans teams across Europe.

Financial advisors on the deal include Cantor Fitzgerald, with legal support from Lowenstein Sandler and DLA Piper. In short, Brera Holdings just traded cleats for code. With $300 million in fresh capital, a star-studded board, and validators revving up in Abu Dhabi, Solmate is betting that Solana isn’t just fast—it’s the future of institutional digital money.
