The partnership pipes Chainlink Data Streams and Automation into Polymarket’s resolution flow, delivering low-latency, timestamped price reports and automated, onchain settlement at the exact moment a market is supposed to end. Think less of “who picked the ref?” moments and more clock-hits-zero final whistles.

It’s said to be live on Polygon mainnet out of the gate and starts with asset-pricing markets, including hundreds of crypto trading pairs; the plan is to expand gradually. In short: quick, deterministic calls for markets with clean scoreboards.

The two teams also want to tackle squishier prompts that lack a neat finish line. By anchoring decisions to oracle data and computation, they’re trying to dial down reliance on social voting and the resolution risk that comes with it.

Chainlink casts the move as plumbing for truth: decentralized oracle networks feeding deterministic inputs and running tamper-resistant computation. The company says its infrastructure secures nearly $100 billion in decentralized finance (DeFi) value and has enabled “tens of trillions” in transaction volume to date — a résumé Polymarket hopes will translate into speed and auditability for users.

“Polymarket’s decision to integrate Chainlink’s proven oracle infrastructure is a pivotal milestone,” Chainlink co-founder Sergey Nazarov said, arguing that reliable inputs can turn prediction prices into “real-time signals the world can trust.” It’s classic oracle talk, but on prediction venues, minutes matter.

Polymarket, meanwhile, has been scaling: it bought QCEX, a CFTC-licensed exchange and clearinghouse, for $112 million, and announced an official partnership with X to deliver data-driven insights and personalized market recommendations — moves that set the stage for broader distribution alongside cleaner resolutions.
