Kitty immediately told me after testing, and compared to the Xiaomi AI glasses I have, Xiaomi's cost-performance ratio is indeed high. Firstly, Xiaomi's price is less than 2,000 CNY, which is half the price of brand one and one-fourth the price of brand two. If it's purely for translation and Vlog use, Xiaomi's cost-performance ratio is better. I also recorded a video of myself in the subway and shopping mall, and the quality is definitely acceptable.
Moreover, more importantly, after recording a 10-minute video, Xiaomi only consumed 20% of its battery. Normally, it should be able to record continuously for 50 minutes, which basically meets the needs of VLog. Of course, the Xiaomi AI glasses also have a significant issue: the camera is on the left side instead of the center, which means that not everything I see can be recorded.
Additionally, regarding the translation function that Kitty and many friends are concerned about, my tests showed a delay of about 10 to 15 seconds. If it's a two-way conversation, this delay can be quite uncomfortable. However, since you're using glasses, it indicates that there are no conditions for equal communication; after all, what you say is still not understood by the other party unless both people are wearing glasses. If it's just watching a speech like Powell's, I can accept a delay of about 10 seconds.
Of course, if you expect to watch Powell and make a deal, to be honest, even millisecond-level delays might not help much. After all, by the time you understand, the delay will affect your ability to act and close the deal. So, for just wanting to listen to English content, it's fine, but when watching English movies, even a delay of 1 second can be uncomfortable, let alone 10 seconds.
Additionally, Kitty forgot to mention that neither brand one nor brand two has direct historical playback data, which is a bit of a headache. It makes summarizing a bit troublesome, but Xiaomi is still acceptable.
I originally wanted to buy the Thunderbird X3 Pro, but after Kitty's test, I lost all interest. However, since I will be going to many places this year and next, even though there won't be direct equal conversations, understanding what the other party is saying is still quite important to me. So I will probably buy a pair of INMO GO2 glasses to alternate with Xiaomi for different scenarios.
In summary, if you don't have a strict need for real-time multilingual communication, Xiaomi is sufficient. If you frequently travel to places like Japan, Korea, or Vietnam, such as this time's intensive meetings, then INMO GO2 would be more suitable. At least in the local KTV, you can know whether the lady is flirting with you, hahaha.
