Last year, I heard about the CARV project, which was focused on on-chain identity and data protocols, primarily in the Web3 gaming sector, attempting to help users build their own on-chain identities. The protocol mainly aimed to solve the problem of fragmented identities across chains and platforms, integrating users' wallet assets, gaming achievements, and on-chain behaviors to form a sustainable on-chain reputation system. It's quite similar to the concept of Steam.

This year, CARV has expanded into the AI field, extending its services from "human identity" to "AI identity." Unlike other AI plugins, tools, or customer service robots currently on the market, CARV has chosen a different path, hoping to give AI a complete identity, assets, reputation, and economic autonomy on-chain. I believe I saw this concept before on Ai16z, but Ai16z has yet to fully realize this step.

Therefore, the current CARV aims to be more than just a tool; it envisions AI beings that can hold wallets, participate in DAO governance, earn income through work, and possess the ability to learn and evolve continuously. It even hopes that AI can eventually operate and survive without relying on centralized clouds, instead thriving through on-chain consensus.

In simpler terms, it aims to make AI increasingly resemble real humans in the network. Although it sounds a bit convoluted, this could indeed be a direction for future development, where AI acts as stewards managing human lives, such as paying bills, shopping, or even designated investments like dollar-cost averaging. Of course, personally speaking, if AI could completely replace humans in investing, then the concept of investment itself would cease to exist.

Overall, this approach is imaginative. As AI becomes more widespread, the transition from serving humans to serving AI will eventually become a necessity. In the future, AI may also become more specialized and vertical, with dedicated AIs for driving, shopping, dog walking, and even dating or writing. This is not even the most interesting part.

The most intriguing aspect is the potential for AI beings to influence and evolve one another. The dog-walking AI could inform the shopping AI about which products are more suitable for dog walking, the shopping AI could provide gift lists to the dating AI, and the writing AI could offer emotional support to the dating AI. In the realm of AI beings, the future of AI agents will be one of mutual influence and evolution.
