Apple and A24 are in the early stages of developing a film adaptation of Michael Lewis’s book “Going Infinite: The Rise and Fall of a New Tycoon,” with Lena Dunham attached to write the script, Variety has reported. The film will co-develop and co-produce by Apple Studios and A24, exploring the dramatic rise and fall of the cryptocurrency exchange FTX, along with its founder, Sam Bankman-Fried. Originally released in October 2023, “Going Infinite” quickly became a New York Times bestseller. This project adds to the growing interest in Bankman-Fried and FTX, as Amazon has already ordered a limited series about the exchange’s collapse, and another streaming service is reportedly preparing its own limited series, with a recent Emmy winner in consideration for the role of Bankman-Fried.
