I divide multi-chain into two levels: one is the multi-chain of blockchain main chains (such as Ethereum, BSC, Solana, AVAX, etc.), and the other is the multi-chain existing in the form of second-layer extensions around Ethereum (such as ARB, OP, BASE, etc.).

These two levels of multi-chain are already coexisting, and they will coexist even more in the future. However, multi-chain coexistence does not mean that all these chains are meaningful.

I believe that in the future, whether it is multi-chain of main chains or multi-chain of second-layer extensions, the vast majority will be like "ghost towns," lying empty.

However, relatively speaking, I am more optimistic about the multi-chain ecosystem of second-layer extensions around Ethereum, so I am more optimistic about cross-chain protocols between second-layer extensions, rather than between main chains.

I am not sure which project "Freedom Cat" refers to, or whether it is an NFT project, but for some reason, when I saw this message, I suddenly thought of the NFT in the Bitcoin ecosystem.

Regarding NFTs in the Bitcoin ecosystem, I think the NFTs with accumulated value so far are the inscriptions ranked in the top 10,000 (or even the top 1,000 or top 100).

I am very cautious about the avatar-type Bitcoin NFT projects that have always claimed to become crypto punks.

In an online discussion last year or early this year, I remember a friend asked whether it was worth buying the NFTs in the Bitcoin ecosystem that claimed to potentially become crypto punks.

My reply at the time was very conservative.

In this wave of Bitcoin NFT frenzy, if we simply measure by the floor price, there have always been projects pushed to the position of crypto punks. The first one we saw was Bitcoin Frogs, then its position was taken by NodeMonkes, and now NodeMonkes has been replaced by Quantum Cats.

But in my opinion, Quantum Cats is not as good as NodeMonkes, and NodeMonkes is not as good as Bitcoin Frogs.

The reason why the top positions are so unstable is fundamentally because these NFTs lack historical accumulation and market baptism.

Crypto punks were born in 2017. They have experienced the brutal bear market and their genes contain irreplaceable historical value. These are things that these current Bitcoin avatar NFTs cannot compare with.

Even these top NFTs are like this, let alone the later ones.
