1. What do you think of the Ethereum ZK L2 system TAIKO, which is also supported by Vitalik?
I had some understanding of this project earlier, but I haven't paid much attention to it later. Overall, I couldn't see its characteristics clearly, so I didn't pay much attention to it. Also, because my time, energy, and financial resources are very limited, I did not participate in this project to profit from it.
Vitalik often mentions various projects in his articles, and some people may think that this is his endorsement of these projects, but I don't see it that way. I think sometimes he purely evaluates a project from a technical perspective.
There are many such cases in his articles.
For example, a long time ago, the Loopring team created a decentralized exchange using ZK technology. At that time, this exchange was frequently mentioned by Vitalik in various occasions. From a technical perspective, I think it was appropriate for Vitalik to mention it, and his purpose was very clear - to promote and encourage the widespread use of ZK technology in the Ethereum ecosystem.
However, I did not buy the tokens of this exchange because at that time, ZK technology was still immature, and the exchange had significant limitations in terms of scalability, clearly unable to compete with Uniswap.
Whether a project can ultimately develop and grow depends on many factors, and technology is just one of them. So, I think it's important to study and understand the projects mentioned by Vitalik, especially in terms of technological foresight and guidance.
But whether to participate in the projects he mentions should still be based on independent judgment.
2. Why does this bull market feel so difficult?
I think it completely depends on how you define a bull market.
If we go by my standards, since the collapse of the previous bull market, a new bull market has never really arrived because both Bitcoin and Ethereum have not set new all-time highs (only Bitcoin has surpassed its previous historical peak).
Historically, bull markets usually arrive about six months after Bitcoin's halving. If we look at it from this historical perspective, this bull market may not arrive until after October this year.
It's only June now, so there's no need to worry, and it's definitely not particularly difficult to endure this round.
As always, we need to be patient before the bull market arrives.
3. It's been ten years since Li Ka-shing left the mainland. In hindsight, was it too early or too late for him to leave?
Mr. Li Ka-shing is a senior businessman whom I greatly admire.
I don't like to comment on such a senior figure using the prevailing emotional viewpoints found online. I have always believed that as long as one abides by the law and donates a large amount to charitable causes, there's nothing to criticize. Based on this alone, Mr. Li has contributed more to society than the vast majority of people could in their lifetime.
Earlier, I saw a piece of news online: In February this year, officials from Mr. Li's hometown visited him in Hong Kong.
The details reported in the foreign news mentioned that Mr. Li politely replied (in essence): "As long as there is an opportunity, I will definitely continue to contribute to my hometown and country."
I think this statement clearly indicates Mr. Li's own view on whether he left the mainland too early or too late.
4. How about AMPL?
I bought this token in the last bull market and even received its governance tokens as airdrops for providing liquidity, so it left a deep impression on me.
However, as the last bull market approached its peak, I sold all of it. Subsequently, I didn't see any significant innovations or new directions for the project, so I haven't bought it again and gradually forgot about the project.
