Fediverse is a decentralized service cluster that communicates through open protocols, with ActivityPub as the underlying protocol. It's a bit complex, but the simplest way to understand it is that it helps synchronize social network content and interactions, creating a decentralized social network (in fact, there have been similar attempts in the past in Chinese social media, such as synchronizing interactions between Sina Weibo, Tencent Weibo, and QQ Zone, but they failed due to the increasing closure of platforms, interface shutdowns, and content censorship).
Fediverse may be the ultimate solution for decentralized social networks. Meta has entered the scene, will Twitter join? Will Meta join forces with other platforms to create a Twitter Killer?
