The high probability surge of the Korean cryptocurrency exchange Upbit is well known, but what everyone is more concerned about is how to select trading pairs that will surge, and most importantly, how to preemptively position for potential coin listings.

First, let's review the impact of 13 coin listings from March to now:

Out of 5 BTC trading pairs, 4 declined and 1 increased.

Among the Korean won (KRW) trading pairs, there were 2 initial exchange offerings (IEO) new coin listings, whose trends were influenced by the coin issuance itself, with low correlation to Upbit:

Excluding IEO, the remaining 6 KRW trading pairs all increased upon listing.

It can be seen that the high probability of KRW trading pairs being listed leads to price increases, while BTC trading pairs have little impact.

However, the price increases are all triggered by the "listing announcement," and once trading is open, the price will start to decline.

Moreover, the time difference between the announcement and the opening of trading is often not fixed, so if you have fast hands when you see the announcement, you may be able to catch this wave of price increases.

Now the next question arises: is there a way to predict projects that may be listed in the future? If so, perhaps you can prepare orders early or position yourself in advance.

Upbit's UDC Annual Meeting is a very valuable indicator.

From 2018 to the present, a total of 54 projects that have issued coins or may issue coins have participated in the UDC Annual Meeting, with 41 of them already listed on KRW trading pairs.

Accuracy rate reaches 76%!

Currently, there are still 13 projects that have not been listed on Upbit or have not been listed on KRW trading pairs.

• Those not yet listed include SLP, HNT, GALA, NFT, ROSE;
• Those with BTC trading pairs but no KRW trading pairs yet include: MKR, YGG, STG, IOTX, GAL;
• Those that have not issued coins but have participated in UDC include: Linea, LayerZero;

This year's UDC is coming on November 13th. You can closely monitor these projects that have not been listed yet to see if there are any major updates at the annual meeting.

If so, it may increase the likelihood of future listings.
