The first hybrid yield liquidity staking protocol in the Pharos ecosystem, Faroo, officially debuted at the "RWA: The Evolution of Global Liquidity" industry summit yesterday.

Paradigm Shift: From "Asset Tokenization" to "Liquidity Activation"

Although RWA (Real World Assets) has become the core narrative in the crypto industry this year, it mainly remains in the "static tokenization" stage—lacking both composability and efficient use as collateral, truly participating in the DeFi ecosystem. Hybrid Yield: The Third Leap in DeFi

Tyrone positioned Faroo's innovation as the third wave of evolution in DeFi: from the inflationary token incentive model of DeFi 1.0, to the Real Yield paradigm of DeFi 2.0, and then to the pioneering Hybrid Yield model of Faroo. Following two key innovations in 2020 with liquidity staking and 2022 with composable lending yield, Faroo introduced a multi-yield embedded mechanism into the RWA field, achieving a structural improvement in capital efficiency.

Faroo summarizes its yield model with the phrase "one token, dual engines," and disclosed three major product matrices: stPHRS, the core hybrid yield liquidity staking token that synchronously merges crypto-native staking rewards with underlying RWA cash flow returns; tbPHRS, which anchors on-chain treasury bond returns, providing stable USD-based yields; and LP Vault, an automated market-making strategy treasury that captures fee income from on-chain trading activity. Together, these form a unified, composable on-chain yield system, allowing users to maintain liquidity while gaining diverse sources of returns.
