PANews news on April 20, MicroBit, HashKey, and several early industry OGs jointly donated a "Satoshi Nakamoto Statue" to the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government free of charge to express gratitude for Hong Kong's friendly regulatory environment and to support its branding as the "Capital of Web3."
The statue's prototype was created by Italian artist Valentina Picozzi and has previously been completed in Lugano, Switzerland (2024) and Tokyo, Japan (2025). The Hong Kong version of the donation is made of 304 stainless steel and weathering steel, with a volume of approximately 1 cubic meter. The base is engraved with "To Hong Kong — In Math We Trust" and donation information. In design, the statue is depicted in a sitting posture with legs crossed, a notebook resting on its lap, and when viewed from the front, it is almost invisible, symbolizing Satoshi Nakamoto's retreat from public life and the decentralized spirit continued by the community. Upon completion of the donation, ownership of the statue will belong to the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government.
