Ethereum's 10th Anniversary: A Few Expectations for Ethereum

On the 10th anniversary of Ethereum, there's no need to praise the genius youth Vitalik Buterin for building the Crypto universe empire. Instead, let's discuss a few expectations:

1) Ethereum's biggest enemy is not the high TPS of external competitors, but rather the "technical internal competition trap" it has created. Various stacked and complex yet underperforming technical narratives are consuming Ethereum's strategic focus. The urgent task is to adjust the fragmented situation of layer 2 factions and return to a unified and efficient layer 1 high-performance grand strategy.

2) The vision of "UltraSound Money" and "great deflation" will eventually come to fruition. The burning deflation mechanism of EIP-1559 and the inflationary economic model of POS staking rewards are truly ingenious. Once the combination of burning mechanism + POS staking rewards + Layer 2 Fee reinvestment operates effectively, Ethereum will inevitably enter the "great deflation era." Compared to Bitcoin's limited value capture ability, Ethereum's multi-layered revenue model's "long-term expectations" will have an overwhelming advantage.

3) The Ethereum version of micro-strategy is undoubtedly an epic boon. Effectively utilizing this Wall Street-driven positive flywheel is far more effective than other technical narratives like "shared security." Therefore, Ethereum needs a "preacher" like Michael Saylor, who doesn't require too much glamorous packaging of conceptual technology. Just the positioning of "global programmable digital asset settlement layer" is enough for Wall Street to digest and speculate for many years.

4) The AI grand strategy will be Ethereum's "redemption" opportunity. Allowing smart contracts to natively invoke AI capabilities, enabling AI Agent applications to thrive on Ethereum, and making decentralized consensus the infrastructure for AI + Crypto—only the "AI grand strategy" can rescue Ethereum from the financial predicament of merely being a DeFi nesting doll, redefining the boundaries of Ethereum's narrative and application implementation.
