June 25, 2025 — Taiko, as the first Based Rollup project on Ethereum, will hold the "Based Rollup Summit" in Cannes, France on July 1, inviting core researchers, developers, and project teams from the Ethereum ecosystem to discuss the best future paths for Ethereum scalability.
This summit will gather several prominent guests, including Ethereum researcher Justin Drake, co-lead of the Ethereum Foundation Tomasz Stańczak, and Celo Labs founder Marek Olszwekski.
"Currently, Ethereum's rollup-centric roadmap has become increasingly mature, and building a robust and decentralized infrastructure has become more critical than ever," said Taiko Chief Operating Officer Joaquin Mendes.
Following the successful first summit held by Taiko in San Francisco earlier this year, the Cannes event is expected to attract over 600 developers, researchers, and protocol builders from the Ethereum ecosystem.
