Today, we introduce the privacy abstraction solution Aztec Network (@aztecnetwork ).
Aztec Network is a privacy-first Layer 2 solution based on Ethereum, utilizing zero-knowledge proof technology to provide high privacy and low-cost transactions and decentralized applications for the Ethereum ecosystem. Its core goal is to bring programmable privacy to the Ethereum ecosystem, protecting user data and transaction details while maintaining the public verifiability of the blockchain.
In short, Aztec uses zero-knowledge proof technology to make transactions cheap and private, while supporting developers in creating privacy applications on Ethereum.
As early as 2021, Aztec Network raised $17 million led by Paradigm, and in 2022, it secured $100 million in funding led by a16z, with participation from institutions like Alliance DAO and IOSG Ventures, along with a previous seed round of $2.1 million, bringing the total funding to $119 million.
On May 1, Aztec Network officially opened its public testnet. Currently, the main interaction modes are running nodes and interacting with the testnet ecosystem. Due to the high configuration requirements for individual users running nodes, this article focuses on the interaction with the Aztec testnet, ecosystem wallet registration, and the experience process of ecosystem applications.

- ### Aztec Testnet Interaction
- Go to the website https://play.aztec.network/alpha-testnet/, select Aztec Testnet, and create an abstract account. This creation and deployment will be relatively slow, but it will succeed, and once deployed, everything will be saved to your browser.
- Deploy the voting, click 【easy private voting】.
- Then click 【DEPLOY/LOAD CONTRACT】, setting the wallet account just created as the voting administrator.
- Create a token, click 【Simple Token】.
- Then click 【DEPLOY/LOAD CONTRACT】, enter the token name, symbol, and set the decimal places to 18.
*Each step takes some time, so please be patient. You can click the status bar on the right to check the current interaction progress.
Once the task is completed, success will be displayed on the right.
- ### Create an Obsidion Wallet
Go to: https://app.obsidion.xyz/
Log in with a Google account (optional) and create an account. It may show failure, but it has actually succeeded.
- Choose to import an account and log in with the account just created.
- Select 【Settings】→【Secret Key】 to export the private key.
- ### Claim Test Tokens
After successfully registering the Obsidion Wallet, you can choose two ways to claim test tokens:
- Claim directly on the Obsidion Wallet account page, but the failure rate is high.
- First, claim USDC test tokens from Circle's official faucet, then perform cross-chain operations through human.tech.
First, go to: http://faucet.circle.com 【Select USDC】 →【Ethereum Sepolia Testnet】 → 【Enter EVM address (not the Obsidion wallet registered earlier)】→ 【Claim USDC】.
After claiming tokens, go to https://bridge.human.tech/, connect both the EVM wallet that just received tokens and the newly registered Obsidion wallet to perform cross-chain operations.

As a well-funded testnet project, Aztec Network is currently under close watch by yield farmers. Not only is the testnet processing speed relatively slow, but there are also delays in operations like claiming tokens and cross-chain transactions.
