Sun Yuchen shared his insights on the security issues of cryptocurrency exchanges and responded to the recent hacking incident involving Huobi HTX.

During the live broadcast, Sun Yuchen first reviewed the details of the recent hacking incident. On September 24 at 18:00, Huobi HTX discovered the hacking attack and took immediate actions, including quickly changing the hot wallet address, establishing real-time monitoring mechanisms, and setting up the SAFU fund to ensure the full protection of users' assets and information. Sun Yuchen revealed that within 24 hours of the attack, Huobi HTX had almost resolved all issues. Users were not aware of the entire process, but the attack and defense process at that time was very intense.

It is reported that currently, Huobi HTX has fully borne the losses caused by this attack, the platform is operating normally, and all user assets have not been affected. Additionally, Huobi HTX has marked the hacker's address and is willing to allocate 5% of the stolen amount (approximately $400,000) as a white hat fund to encourage the hacker to return the stolen funds. If the hacker returns the funds, Huobi HTX will hire them as a platform security white hat advisor; if the funds are not returned within 7 days, Huobi HTX will hand over the clues to the judicial authorities.

Furthermore, Huobi HTX is collaborating with professional security teams, blockchain institutions, and leading peer exchanges such as Binance to track the hacker's identity and monitor the flow of funds. Although specific investigation details cannot be disclosed at this time, if the hacker does not return the funds, Huobi HTX will spare no effort to pursue their legal responsibility.

Sun Yuchen stated, "We encourage white hat behavior and are very confident in recovering these funds. Huobi HTX has had successful precedents of cooperating with authorities to capture hackers and will not tolerate hacker behavior. Even if the user is not a Huobi HTX user and their assets are unfortunately compromised, we will take public welfare actions to assist in recovering their losses."

Sun Yuchen concluded that the lesson of security is "expensive," but they must strive to learn and become top students. This hacking incident was a valuable lesson for him and his team. Huobi HTX must reflect on this and enhance the platform's security.
