The Nasdaq's stabilization doesn't mean the storage stock correction is over—still looking at a short-term rebound!
After the Nasdaq 100 quickly pulled back from its highs, it rebounded near the 29,000-point level. However, this looks more like a technical recovery rather than confirmation of a new primary rally.
If the index can hold 29,000–29,200 and reclaim 29,800, it could challenge 30,200 in the short term. But if the rebound remains capped below 29,800 and falls back under 29,000, the adjustment target is still 28,500–28,000.
For storage stocks, the key isn't just the Nasdaq's ups and downs—it’s also about AI capital expenditures, storage pricing, and competitive pressure from Chinese manufacturers.
Previously, $SNDK, $MU, and $SKHY all dropped simultaneously. The core reasons were the market pricing in overvaluation, uncertainty around AI investment returns, and CXMT's technological progress potentially altering supply-demand expectations.
Monday's collective rebound only indicates short-term selling pressure has eased—it doesn't prove the risks have been fully cleared.
Among the three companies:
- $SNDK has the highest elasticity. When NAND price expectations improve, it rises the fastest. However, profit-taking at higher levels is also heavy. It needs to hold 1,400 to aim for 1,450–1,500; if it breaks below 1,320, there’s a risk of retesting the lows.
- $MU has relatively balanced fundamentals. HBM and DRAM demand still provide support. 920 is the confirmation level for a rebound; if it breaks through, it could aim for 950. Losing 870 would indicate funds are still reducing positions in the storage sector.
- $SKHY has stronger HBM competitiveness but has recently been dragged down by the Korean market slump, foreign capital outflows, and concerns about Chinese competition. Its performance may lag behind U.S. peers. Only by reclaiming its previous breakdown platform can it confirm the correction is over.
The conclusion is clear: A short-term rebound is possible, but don’t mistake one day of gains for a trend reversal. If the Nasdaq holds 29,000, focus on $SNDK for elasticity, $MU for sustainability, and $SKHY for confidence in fundamentals. If the Nasdaq breaks down, storage stocks may retest lower levels.
