[Bitunix Analyst: CPI Influences Rate Expectations, Dollar Liquidity to Determine Pressure on Crypto Market] BlockBeats News, October 14 – The pressure facing global capital markets is no longer just about interest rate levels but also the simultaneous increase in financing demand from governments and corporations, competing for limited market funds. Bridgewater founder Ray Dalio has warned that approximately $10 trillion of U.S. debt maturing this year will need to be rolled over, along with an additional $2.1 trillion in new borrowing needs. If investors demand higher yields to absorb this supply, the government's interest burden could rise with refinancing costs, creating a cycle of mutual escalation between debt and interest rates. The stock market may also face supply changes. Paul Tudor Jones has cautioned that potential IPOs from AI companies like OpenAI and Anthropic, coupled with secondary offerings by corporations, could reverse the supply-demand structure previously supported by stock buybacks and mergers. When government bond issuance, corporate borrowing, and new stock offerings increase simultaneously, investors will need to allocate funds across more assets, making it harder to sustain high valuations based solely on growth expectations. This competition for capital similarly impacts the crypto market. While BTC and ETH do not directly bear the cost of U.S. government debt, their valuations are still influenced by dollar liquidity, real interest rates, and risk appetite. If U.S. Treasury yields remain elevated for an extended period, funds may find bonds more attractive for returns. Additionally, ongoing financing absorption by AI companies could limit new capital inflows into crypto assets. If market pressures from financing lead to risk aversion, leveraged positions could be unwound, amplifying volatility in BTC and other crypto assets. In the short term, the focus is on the U.S. September CPI. The market expects overall inflation to rise to 3.6% year-over-year, with core inflation around 2.5% and core month-over-month inflation slowing to 0.2%. If core prices moderate, cooling rate expectations could improve risk appetite in the crypto market. However, if the data exceeds expectations, a stronger dollar and higher yields could pressure crypto assets. Even if inflation cools, it does not mean liquidity will immediately ease, and subsequent developments in long-term rates and capital allocation will still need to be monitored.
