[Crypto Venture Funds Are Shifting Focus to AI, Robotics, and Other Cutting-Edge Technologies] According to Bloomberg, crypto venture funds are turning their attention to areas beyond crypto. Paradigm announced this week the launch of a $1.2 billion fund to invest in AI, robotics, and other frontier technologies, stating that 'too many things are happening to ignore.' Framework Ventures closed a $400 million fund last month covering AI, robotics, and energy. Haun Ventures raised a $1 billion fund in May targeting the agency economy. Data from Galaxy Research shows that in Q1 2026, crypto VCs deployed approximately $4 billion across 355 deals, a quarter-over-quarter decline of about 50%, with only 8 new funds closed—the lowest since Q3 2020. Meanwhile, AI absorbed about 70% of global startup funding in Q2.
