The talent paradox in the cryptocurrency industry
As the end of the year approaches, I chatted with some friends,
Many people in the cryptocurrency industry should have laid off their employees, but there are also more who want to resign and are preparing to leave.
So tonight, I want to talk about the liquidity issue of talent in the cryptocurrency industry.
Traditional industries have an organizational structure formula, where 'talent density+organizational efficiency>business complexity' leads to career takeoff; Once the inequality is reversed, even the smartest person cannot do it.
So traditional companies rely on information asymmetry, resource monopolies, and job ceilings to retain employees.
The dilemma in the cryptocurrency industry goes even deeper: Crypto native talents naturally oppose this approach, resources rely on the community rather than the company, and titles are worthless on Twitter.
So the essence of talent management is a game of power transfer: you must continuously give up enough things to make better people feel that it is worthwhile to stay "temporarily".
Otherwise, it will fall into the predicament of the founder of the cryptocurrency circle: inviting a master who cannot be controlled; Give enough freedom, but don't keep it; Give enough benefits, but not enough to feed.
Management is a matter without a standard answer.
What can be done is to make that inequality always hold true, so that everyone's journey together is worth it.
