The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Chinese Embassy in Japan remind Chinese citizens to avoid traveling to Japan in the near future due to the unstable social order in Japan, the frequent occurrence of illegal and criminal cases against Chinese citizens, and the continuous deterioration of the security environment. On March 24th, a current Japanese Self Defense Force official climbed over the wall with a knife and broke into the Chinese Embassy in Japan, seriously threatening the safety of Chinese diplomatic personnel and facilities. Chinese citizens who are already in Japan need to closely monitor local security, raise awareness of safety precautions, and promptly report to the police and contact the embassy or consulate in Japan for assistance in emergency situations.
