On March 17, the official account of the "Internet Investigation Institute" disclosed that a hacker team in China had quarreled with each other because of the dispute over the sharing of stolen goods. Members disclosed that they had stolen about $7 million of encrypted assets through supply chain attacks, targeting platforms such as the encrypted wallet Trust Wallet.
According to reports, the team operates under the name of the cybersecurity company "Wuhan Anshun Technology" and publicly engages in vulnerability mining and security services, actually engaging in cryptocurrency theft. The team utilized Electron client vulnerabilities and automated tools to obtain mnemonic words in bulk, scanning network assets such as Ethereum, BNB Chain, and Arbitrarum, involving 37 types of tokens.
This exposure is due to a dispute over income distribution. The members who exposed the incident claimed that they had not received public evidence of their resignation compensation and planned to surrender to law enforcement agencies. The allegations have not been confirmed yet, and the details of the incident are under investigation.
