Texas police pried open cryptocurrency ATM and recovered $25000 in fraud losses

The victim's family encountered a scam impersonating government officials and transferred money to the fraudster through the machine. Sheriff Chuck Havard seized approximately $32000 in cash from the machine based on a search warrant, but admitted that the location of the fraudster has not been identified yet. The ATM operator is Bitcoin Depot, and the incident has sparked community controversy, with some questioning the reasonableness of law enforcement.
