Dutch Senate withdraws bill to impose 36% tax on unsold cryptocurrencies

On September 29th, the Dutch Senate withdrew a bill imposing a 36% tax on unsold Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, which had been passed by the House of Representatives in February 2026. The purpose of the withdrawal was to prevent investor outflows, but the profits from self managed Bitcoin still need to pay a 36% tax. （Bitcoin Archive）
