Vitalik responded to discussions on space related topics by Musk and others, stating that asteroid mining is difficult but not impossible

According to Foresight News, Vitalik Buterin, co-founder of Ethereum, responded to previous discussions about space by former Reddit CEO and Elon Musk. Although this is not his area of expertise, he believes that asteroid mining, although difficult, is fundamentally not impossible to achieve economic feasibility.
