According to the Korea Economic Daily, South Korean financial regulatory agencies will strengthen their monitoring of the market, particularly focusing on stocks related to Donald Trump and the increasing volatility in the cryptocurrency sector. This decision was made after the recent election results in the United States and the latest Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) statement from the Federal Reserve. At a meeting of the Financial Supervisory Service (FSS) on November 8th, the director of the FSS, Lee Fuk hyun, emphasized the need to take strict measures against market manipulation and spreading unfounded rumors if there is evidence to support it.
