According to The Crypto Basic, XRP supporting lawyer and Massachusetts Senate candidate John Deaton has applied to appear as a friend of the court in the SEC's appeal against Ripple. Reporter Eleanor Terrett shared this progress and pointed out that Deaton's application was officially added to the case file of the Second Circuit Court on October 23rd. Although Deaton is running for the US Senate, he plans to continue representing the XRP community, advocating that XRP transactions remain legal, as previously ruled by Judge Anastasia Torres. Deaton criticized the SEC's inconsistent stance, emphasizing its reversal on the Coinbase exchange issue, which he believes reflects a flawed regulatory approach.
