In fact, prior to the midterm elections, the existing development model of the US government had encountered several deadlocks: Deadlock 1 – Attacking Iran and vigorously developing AI would drive up inflation, leading to a decline in Republican approval ratings; Deadlock 2 – Accelerating AI development would increase corporate capital expenditures, causing negative cash flow for companies, exacerbating corporate debt issuance, and leading to potential leverage risks; Deadlock 3 – Supporting crypto policies while condoning corruption within the Trump family prevented consensus on the Clarity Act. After the midterm elections, with the Democrats controlling both houses of Congress, they might be able to break this deadlock, inevitably sacrificing the interests of some: Breakthrough 1 – Limiting Trump's attacks on Iran; Breakthrough 2 – Slowing down AI development by strengthening data center approvals and security reviews; Breakthrough 3 – Imposing stricter regulations on the crypto industry and putting pressure on the Trump family regarding corruption. While these three breakthroughs cannot effectively resolve the Iranian nuclear issue, while they have stabilized AI development from overheating and slowed GDP growth, and while they have made the Clarity Act uncertain and the crypto industry unlikely to achieve policy breakthroughs in the short term, they have brought several benefits: 1. Inflation may be effectively controlled, and the Federal Reserve will not face excessive pressure to raise interest rates; 2. AI resources will concentrate on leading companies, and some AI companies, such as NeoCloud, will face enormous survival pressure; 3. A stricter version of the Clarity Act may be passed. Although the Trump administration was friendly to AI and crypto, it was also a business-driven and insider-interest-driven government. The Democrats will bring greater certainty, but only if they do not overcorrect.
