[University of Oregon Student Fund Research Report Recommends Buying All in AI Mining Project Pearl, Target Price $2.50-$3] Odaily Planet Daily reports that the University of Oregon's blockchain group, Dorm DAO, released a research report recommending a full buy in the AI mining project Pearl (PEARL), with a target price of $2.50-$3. The project currently has a market capitalization of approximately $531 million. The report points out that Pearl is a Layer 1 public chain using a "Proof-of-Use Work" (PoUW) mechanism. It replaces traditional PoW computation with matrix multiplication, allowing GPUs to participate in network security maintenance and earn token rewards while performing AI tasks. The fund believes that potential listings on Coinbase and Kraken, the FP8 kernel upgrade, and the AI computing power narrative are its main growth catalysts. However, the research report also points out that currently less than 1% of blocks involve real AI tasks, and the token supply is expected to grow by about 86% next year; in addition, the team's internal holdings of the approximately 122 million tokens produced in the first 6 days of the mainnet launch have not yet been disclosed, and the project has not yet completed a third-party code audit.
