[Qatar Claims Significant Progress in US-Iran Talks, Vance Intervenes] According to a report by Golden Finance on November 7th, citing a comprehensive report from Wall Street News, the Qatari Prime Minister publicly stated that the indirect US-Iran negotiations "have achieved significant results, and I believe we can reach a solution," adding, "We cannot wait for a perfect agreement; we hope to reach a good agreement." This news originated from CGTN Europe. According to Global Times, citing Axios, two sources familiar with the matter stated that US Vice President Vance has been involved in indirect negotiations with Iran for the past two weeks, aiming to facilitate a new ceasefire agreement and restart nuclear negotiations. He has been communicating almost daily with Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed, Pakistani Army Chief of Staff Munir, and other mediators. Axios stated that one of the core issues is the possibility of holding working-level technical talks in the coming days, which has not yet been finalized. On November 6th, the Qatari Emir's Palace issued a statement saying that Emir Tamim spoke with Trump to discuss easing regional tensions and promoting a comprehensive agreement to end the crisis. Separately, CCTV News, citing Iran's Tasnim News Agency on November 7th, reported that preliminary information indicates two missiles hit Qeshm Island, with no official damage reports yet. Since September of this year, Iran has proposed a "seven-day plan" demanding the lifting of the blockade on Iranian ports, the unfreezing of assets, and the approval of the reopening of the waterway through the Strait of Hormuz after Iran supports the route. So far, Trump has rejected the proposal.
