[Central Bank of Iran Governor: Banking System Will Continue to Support the Reconstruction of Gas Facilities] According to a report by Jinse Finance on November 7th, citing Iran's Mehr News Agency, Central Bank Governor Abdel Nasser Hemmati stated on Saturday morning during a visit to the fourth refinery of the South Pars Gas Complex that approximately one-third of Iran's national natural gas production capacity has been shut down due to enemy attacks. Currently, Iranian experts and domestic workers are working diligently to repair the damaged facilities to restore production. He commended the work of the facility's employees, experts, and contractors, adding that the repair work is being carried out using domestic resources, without the need to import equipment and materials from abroad, demonstrating the technical strength and capabilities of Iranian professionals. The Central Bank Governor stated that the banking system plays a crucial role in supporting the reconstruction of natural gas facilities. He emphasized that the banking sector has provided necessary support to date, and the Central Bank of Iran will continue to cooperate with banks to provide the necessary financing and support for subsequent repair work. Hemmati expressed hope that as the repair work accelerates and natural gas production gradually recovers, the domestic natural gas supply problem in Iran will be alleviated in the coming months.
