A one-hour interview with Barron and Musk: 1. Currently making money from ground-based computing power. SpaceX has built data centers and is leasing out GPUs not currently in use to other AI companies. Musk predicts that monthly revenue in December 2027 could exceed $41.7 billion, equivalent to over $500 billion annually. 2. Ground expansion is limited by power supply. Musk wants to reduce transportation costs by using Starship to send computers into orbit, powered by solar energy. He estimates launches will begin in the third quarter of 2027, with mass production in 2028 and further expansion in 2029. 3. Baron is most optimistic about Starlink. He believes AI will significantly increase network traffic, estimating that Starlink alone could be worth $14 trillion to $15 trillion within ten years. This is Baron's own valuation. 4. Musk also wants to manufacture his own chips and lease out robots. Terafab's long-term goal is to produce the equivalent of 1000GW of AI chips annually. For the Optimus robot, he prefers companies to lease it on a contract basis.
