According to Hasheur, a crypto industry insider, Bitcoin Core developer Cory Fields recently proposed a solution to address the threat of quantum computing. This solution aims to reduce the risk of quantum attacks on older wallets through an economic penalty mechanism. The solution requires that when transferring BTC from an older wallet with exposed public keys, the transaction initiator must first lock BTC of equal value as collateral and wait several weeks before the transfer is completed. During this period, the original holder can challenge the transfer through a pre-set proof mechanism, retaining their original BTC and obtaining the attacker's collateral, thus increasing the cost of theft. This mechanism cannot protect BTC with lost private keys, and legitimate holders also need to provide collateral when transferring. Currently, this solution is still in the developer discussion stage and has not yet been officially implemented. https://(wublock123.com)/news/bitcoin-core-proposes-quantum-resistant-staking-for-old-wallet-theft-71504
