[Amazon Intensifies AI Shopping Strategy, Launches Text-Based Shopping Feature with Alexa] Jinse Finance reported on November 6th that Amazon launched a text-based shopping feature via Alexa. Amazon stated that this new text-based interaction feature helps users search and compare products, track promotions and price changes, and allows "Alexa for Shopping" to complete purchases on behalf of the user. Amazon said the feature is currently being rolled out to a limited number of invited US users and is expected to expand its rollout in the coming weeks. This release comes after Amazon recently blocked Meta's AI shopping agent, Muse, from accessing its e-commerce platform. Furthermore, in March of this year, Amazon won a court ruling prohibiting Perplexity's shopping agent, Comet, from accessing its platform. However, a US appeals court overturned this injunction in August, and the related litigation is still ongoing.
