Holy crap! The non-farm payroll data has completely blew everyone's minds. Expected 65,000, actual 165,000. Unemployment rate 4.1%, lower than expected. Hourly wages rose 0.4% month-on-month, also exceeding expectations. The data for the previous two months was even revised upwards by 84,000. This isn't just resilient employment; it's employment so strong the Fed can't stop. The probability of a December rate hike jumped to 72% after the data release. The dollar strengthened, and the 10-year Treasury yield approached 4.9%. I believe a December rate hike is a done deal; 72% is a conservative estimate. For BTC, this is the kind of "good news" they least wanted to see. The economy isn't weak, rate hikes continue, and liquidity remains tight. The previously predicted better-than-expected non-farm payroll data and subsequent failed rebound has now materialized. 76,000 is the short-term lifeline. It didn't break below this level after the data release, but it also lacked the strength for a rebound. Tonight, when US stocks open, let's see if the pre-market rebound in AI hardware stocks can hold. If it does, BTC will be consolidating around 76K; if not, 75,500 will be the next test level. After tonight's US stock market opening, I predict a rise followed by a pullback!
