[Singaporean Chip Startup Symatics Unveils New AI Chip Architecture MPU Aimed at Reducing Inference Latency] According to Tech in Asia, on November 6th, Singapore-based semiconductor startup Symatics unveiled its Morphic Processing Unit (MPU) architecture at the 2026 Business & Philanthropy Forum, aiming to improve AI response speed by optimizing data organization and processing.
Symatics stated that the architecture employs row-column parallel processing and a compiler-planned execution mechanism to reduce data transfer between memory and computing units, primarily targeting interactive AI and inference tasks. The company plans to collaborate with Singaporean research institutions and industry partners through an open architecture and licensing model.
Currently, the MPU is still in the development stage, with technology verification underway. No progress has been disclosed regarding funding, prototype chips, or tape-out.
