[BNB Chain Plans to Migrate Validators to BSC-Reth by Year-End; Internal Benchmarks Show Approximately 40% Throughput Improvement] According to Foresight News, based on the BNB Chain blog, BNB Chain plans to begin migrating existing validators to BSC-Reth by the end of 2026, improving performance optimization of its Reth-based client, BSC-Reth. Internal benchmarks show that after integrating Reth 2.5.1, BSC-Reth's throughput is approximately 40% higher than the previous TrieDB-based configuration. BSC-Reth's block write latency (p95) is 71.6 milliseconds, a 34.9% reduction compared to BSC-Geth; execution latency (p95) is 56.5 milliseconds, a 35.5% reduction. Next, BNB Chain will evaluate supporting BEP-675 in BSC-Reth to extend block build time and explore block-level access lists (BALs) and the faster EVM2.
