[Web3 Developer Discloses Being Phished in Job Recruitment, Infected with Trojan After Opening Cursor Project] According to TechFlow, on November 6th, Web3 developer brucexu.eth disclosed that he fell victim to a fake job recruitment phishing attack in January. After opening a project directory provided by the attacker using Cursor, his device was infected with a Trojan, but ultimately no assets were lost. He stated that the attacker provided a code repository through the recruitment process; he initially thought that simply viewing the code without running it would be safe, but Yu Xian, the founder of SlowMist, analyzed samples and warned that opening the project directory could also trigger malicious code. After confirming the infection, he transferred his assets, rotated his credentials, and reinstalled his system.
