US stocks lost $2.8 trillion overnight, a record high.
We've been saying the US stock market is becoming more like the crypto market, and now it's really becoming a reality.
But then a thought suddenly occurred to me: this gives us an advantage (the crypto market)!
We've always said that for crypto investors to go to the US stock market, they need to relearn the industry chain, read research reports, and financial statements… Compared to established US stock market players and institutions, we have no experience, no informational or cognitive advantages. Our only redeeming quality is our willingness to learn.
Now you see, fundamentals don't seem so important anymore. Previously, the crypto market was all about price-to-dream ratios; in a bull market, you'd get a 100x price-to-dream ratio, but in a bear market, it'd drop to 10x. In the US stock market, you look at the price-to-earnings ratio (P/E ratio). Even with no major changes in fundamentals, a bull market can give you a P/E ratio of 30, while a bear market might only give you 10-15.
Both are driven by emotion, both are bubbles, but our crypto market is a magnified version of the US stock market, or rather, the US stock market is a smaller version of the crypto market (in terms of volatility).
At this point, market intuition, candlestick charts, understanding of narratives/financial reports, and how to judge others' understanding of these narratives/financial reports (the second order of narrative – collective sentiment perception) become more important than the financial reports themselves.
We're a game-changer in altcoins and memes – we're a generation ahead of those in the US stock market!
The advantage is mine!
P.S. - My Intel shares bought at $72 are now stuck. This morning I checked and saw that my previous order for Intel at $51 was triggered by an automatic buy order last night. Today I placed a final buy order at $41. If it falls below $40, I'll really have to play dead…
