French bank Crédit Mutuel Arkéa stated that the attackers gained access through a service provider's platform and used the bank's own accounts to transfer funds to other banks, which may have then been converted into cryptocurrency. The bank denied that its online bank, Fortuneo, was the entry point for the attack and stated that it did not use customer accounts and that customers did not suffer financial losses.
